I was greeted all day today with little surprises...the kind of surprises that put a smile on your face. A long time ago (all the way back to University of Michigan) I hid post-it notes with 'I Love You' scribbled on them all over Brian's room- on the keyboard, under his pillow, in his sock drawer. Today I found little 'I love yous' all over our house- chapstick in the fridge, sunscreen in my closet, toys in the apron drawer. I like to think they're leaving them there just for me...

I'd like to think these were little love gifts to say thank you for the night before! Kids are such wonderful blessings from God and they have a way of demonstrating God's perfect love like no other created being or thing.

So cute! Some moms may look at these things as "messes" their kids left all over the house for them to pick up. So refreshing to hear you call them "love notes." You are an awesome Mom! I'm sorry the night before was rough on you. I am sure Parker and Fin have already forgotten it!

Your story made me think of the Mom on "Incredibles" - you just need to be "Elastic Mom" so that your arms and lap and grow with the kidlets!

Saw some pics from Janie's wedding. You and Kath (and of course, Jane) looked beautiful! Hope you had a fun time.
